Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 July 2026
Welcome to Convert Markdown (convert-markdown.com), a free tool that converts markdown documents into rich text and other formats in your browser. By using the service you agree to these terms.
The service
Convert Markdown is provided free of charge. Conversion happens locally in your browser; documents you open are not uploaded to or stored on our servers. Features that connect to third-party services (Google Drive, Google Docs, GitHub) are optional and act only on your explicit instruction.
Your content
You keep all rights to the documents you create or convert. You are responsible for the content you process and for having the rights to any material you import or export, including content committed to repositories or saved to cloud storage.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to violate any law, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse the security of the service or the third-party services it connects to.
Third-party services
When you connect Google or GitHub, your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability or behavior. You can revoke the app's access in your Google or GitHub account settings at any time.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Conversion output may contain differences from the source; review important documents before relying on them.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Julian Oczkowski shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or any loss of data or content, arising from use of the service.
Changes
The service and these terms may change over time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
