Privacy Policy

Convert Markdown (convert-markdown.com) is a markdown converter that runs entirely in your browser. This policy describes what the app does and does not do with your data. The short version: your documents never leave your device unless you explicitly export them somewhere.
Documents and files
Markdown you paste, type, or open is processed locally in your browser. It is never uploaded to our servers; we do not operate any server that stores content. Your open files, style choice, and settings are saved only in your own browser's local storage so your workspace survives a reload. Clearing your browser data removes them entirely.
Google integration (optional)
If you connect Google, the app requests the narrow drive.file permission:
it can only see files you explicitly pick in the Google file dialog and files it creates
for you (for example a Google Doc export). It cannot browse your Drive. Access tokens are
held in memory for your session and are not stored on any server. You can revoke access
at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
GitHub integration (optional)
If you sign in with GitHub, the app can access only the repositories you select during installation. Sign-in tokens are exchanged through a minimal serverless function that stores nothing, and are then kept only in your browser's local storage. You can change or revoke repository access at any time at github.com/settings/installations.
Analytics
The app may record anonymous usage events (for example "a PDF was exported") with no cookies, no user identifiers, no IP storage, and no document content. Do Not Track is honored.
Cookies
The app sets no cookies. Third-party services you choose to connect (Google, GitHub) set their own cookies during their sign-in flows under their own policies.
